The Lakota flute in key of Am is a flute with a gentle and bird sound, which is included in the bass Lakota flute category. Of course, the key of Am is also made in the high octave. Its wavelength is long and has a deep and meditative sound. It is used as a therapeutic instrument to cleanse the fifth and sixth chakras and is associated with the color blue. It is also reminiscent of the sound of whales in the depths of the ocean. Its associated stones are turquoise, aquamarine, lapis lazuli and blue agate, and its associated totem is the calm waters of the oceans and a variety of large sea creatures such as whales. It is in contact with the element of water and flowing rivers and gives its player’s soul clarity, purity and innocence and is very effective for reconnecting with the depths of the unconscious and the peace hidden therein. Perhaps due to its large size (about 80 cm long and 4 cm in diameter), it is not as easy to transport as smaller Lakota examples, but its deep and ecstatic sound calls to any soul interested in the depths of existence.
