About the difference between the different keys of the Lakota flute

The Lakota flute was anciently made in different keys, and each of these keys, in addition to musical uses, had different uses according to the type of ceremony in which they were present, according to the Native Americans, flutes with a higher sound for Communication with the elements of nature such as rivers, trees, birds and winds and flutes with a lower sound were used to communicate with the spirits of the deceased and archetypes of animals.

From a therapeutic point of view, considering that each of the keys of this flute has a different wavelength that resonates at a different frequency, the music therapists classify the different keys of this flute in connection with the cleansing of different chakras, as follows:

  • First Chakra: Do (C)
  • Second Chakra: Re (D)
  • The third chakra: Fa (F)
  • The fourth chakra: Sol (G) and F sharp (F#)
  • The fifth chakra: F sharp (F#) and La (A)
  • Sixth Chakra: La (A)
  • Seventh Chakra: Si (B)
